Abstract
The World Health Organization (WHO) has developed a classification system for the “description of health and health-related states‟, called International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health (ICF). In the occupational therapy literature, it has been recommended that occupational therapy practitioners understand and apply the concepts of ICF. This article uses a case study to illustrate the application and comparisons of the American Occupational Therapy Practice Framework and the WHO’s ICF concepts in the creation of a meaningful, client-centered intervention program.
