Abstract
In 2001, the World Health Organization (WHO) published its new classification of tumors of hematopoietic and lymphoid tissues, including an entity named posttransplantation lymphoproliferative disorder (PTLD). Because oral PTLD is of clinical relevance to oral health providers, the importance of distinguishing between PTLD and nontransplantation related lymphoma is outlined, and the clinical implications of oral PTLD are discussed. © 2008 Mosby, Inc.
