Abstract
An adult patient with an impacted maxillary canine and retained deciduous canine is often reluctant to have the deciduous canine extracted, owing to the unesthetic, dark edentulous space left by the extraction and subsequent surgical exposure of the impacted tooth1 (Fig. 1). This article describes a technique for temporary camouflage of the extraction space, using a modified pontic appliance.
